Executive Board Dinner Meeting

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

CALL TO ORDER:  Vice President Heyward Strong called the Special Meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. at the Crestview Coach -N- Four Restaurant.

PRESENT BOARD MEMBERS

Heyward Strong (Vice President) - Valparaiso

Nick Chubb (Secretary/Treasurer) - Cinco Bayou

Charles Baugh - Crestview

Mike Anderson - Fort Walton Beach

Vizell Robbins - Laurel Hill

OLD BUSINESS:

-  NWFLC AmTrak Resolution - 2009-01 - Mayor Anderson moved to approve Resolution 2009-01 as written.  The motion was seconded by Councilman Baugh and passed unanimously.

-  Growth Management Representative - Mayor Anderson stated that he is the current Representative and will continue if the board would like him to.  If Mayor Barker would like to be the Representative, Mayor Anderson will step down.  Councilman Baugh moved that Mayor Anderson continue being the Okaloosa County League of Cities Growth Management Representative.  The motion was seconded by Mayor Robbins and passed unanimously.

-  2009 Washington DC Fly-In Invitation - Councilman Chubb moved that Mayor Anderson continue representing the Okaloosa County League of Cities at the EDC Meetings and that the Okaloosa County League of Cities pay for his airfare to Washington DC.  The motion was seconded by Councilman Baugh and passed unanimously.  Mayor Anderson stated that he will step down as the representative if current President, Mayor Barker, would like to take over.
